The climb to recoveryIt’s been 5 months since my bilateral mastectomy and I’m on to phase 2 of my journey with Reconstructive Surgery on 11/28/2023. First let me start by saying THANK YOU JESUS….the strength and resiliency you provided to me to persevere during this recovery period, and to be a blessing to others in more ways than I could’ve imagined, is beyond measure. I’ve definitely had some up and down moments during my recovery period and went through phases of different emotions, but the one thing that kept me going was knowing who God is and what he can do…my rock…my FIRM FOUNDATION. This picture is a perfect illustration of my journey… taking one step at a time despite the difficulty and rising to the top. In fact, I can already hear God telling me “Keep going, I got you” and I can see myself on the mountain top praising God for healing and restoration. I went through a Divine disruption and now…. Yes that’s me: A Divine Reinvention, a calling for something new and amazing to emerge for his glory.

Joshua 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid:do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
